Dr. Ron McNamara is an economist with over 30 years of diverse experience in electricity and energy markets as well as other network and regulated industries. He was directly responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the first true electricity market (New Zealand) and the geographically largest electricity market (Midcontinent ISO) where he was also the Chief Economist. In addition to having successfully traded both physical and financial energy products in a number of markets, he has worked on electricity and energy projects in over 30 countries on every continent and has provided expert testimony in regulatory/legislative hearings pertaining to many aspects of electricity market reform/restructuring.
