Review of the Decision Regulation Impact Statement on the introduction of national licensing of property occupations

Synergies Economic Consulting was engaged by the Office of Best Practice Regulation (OBPR) within the Queensland Competition Authority (QCA) to undertake a review of the Decision Regulation Impact Statement (DRIS) released by the National Licensing Steering Committee (NLSC) earlier in 2013, which assessed the impact of the introduction of a national licensing system for property occupations. The purpose of the review was to assess the net benefits and adverse impacts the DRIS would have on industry and government in Queensland.
